Botanical Spirits Distillery

Here at Kirklandbank we run an artisan distillery, Highland Boundary.  Highland Boundary is the only distillery in the UK focused on botanical spirits.  We use sustainably hand-picked local Scottish plants to create unique spirits and liqueurs that showcase the wild flavours of Scotland.

Guests at the farmhouse are welcome to join a distillery tour to see and hear how we make our Wild Scottish Spirits.  We’ll show you around whilst you enjoy a cocktail and let you taste different spirits and liqueurs we make or have in development.  

Our aim at Highland Boundary is to bring you the flavours of the Scottish wilderness in our botanical spirits.

We hand-pick all of our botanicals from Scottish woodlands either on our farm or nearby. 

We are careful to only harvest a small amount of foliage, flowers or berries from any single plant, taking in one season only what would be browsed naturally.  This means plants stay healthy and we leave plenty for the wild animals, birds and insects that also rely on mother nature.

We combine our Scottish botanicals with grain spirit and mineral-rich spring water from Alyth Hill which has been naturally filtered through the 450 million year-old Devonian sandstone bedrock of Strathmore.

Highland Boundary captures the unique and unusual flavours of the Scottish wilderness and distils them into wild-inspired & botanical Scottish Spirits and Liqueurs. If you’re a gin, vodka or cocktail lover you will love this new generation of Scottish Spirits and Liqueurs.

Our spirits rely on ancient distilling techniques fused with a flair for hand-picked Scottish wildlife & nature. Highland Boundary spirits are different, appealing to those who enjoy new and remarkable flavours.
